Information about the role and benefits

Replacement Practice Nurse required for 25-30 hours p.w. to provide high-quality patient care and support the smooth operation of our medical practice.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Cervical Cytology Screening – certified qualification in smear taking

- Chronic disease clinics:

• Certified qualification in Diabetes and/or Respiratory or willingness to undertake training.

• Skilled in vaccine/immunisations administration.

- Competent in clinical read coding and the use of clinical systems, preferably EMIS.

Up to date CPR and anaphylaxis training and a willingness to undertake training to meet the needs of the post

- Educate patients on health management and preventive care

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

- Maintain a clean and organised clinical environment

**Essential Criteria**

- Registered Nurse qualification with valid NMC registration with at least 3 years post registration experience

- Certified qualification in Cervical Screening for Healthcare

- Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in general practice or treatment room.

- Proficiency in using medical equipment and computer systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment

- Certified qualification in Diabetes and/or Respiratory Disease Management or willingness to undergo training.

Experience:

• Nursing: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• NMC (required)

• Certified qualification in Respiratory and/or Diabetes and Smear qualification (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Pay scale band 6 pro-rata based on 37.5hrs full time, entry point to scale dependent on experience and qualifications. The position will include NHS pension scheme and generous holiday allowance.
